At the heart of Pamoja Leo is our ECD Center. Our center is a place of healing, learning and comfort located in Tanga City in the North East of Tanzania. We have a free daycare and preschool that provides:

Giving formula milk to babies whose mums have died and supporting them in a family to raise them. Preventing malnutrition and orphanhood
Free Montessori education centre for children 2-6. Providing food, health check-ups and counselling for children living in poverty who’ve lost their parents, living with HIV, or at risk of family separation
A network of 100+ volunteer foster parents have been trained in Tanga Region by Pamoja Leo & the local government to be safe, temporary placements for children in any need of care.
We help children living in orphanages to go home to a family. We train orphanages on reunification, adoption and fostering as well as work to trace and address the issues in biological families so children can return home safely.
Building stronger families
The Hope Fund specifically funds girls that have experienced sexual violence to find a home, hope and healing. With this fund we are able to support these girls so they can get all the skills they need to have a fantastic start in life.
Supporting children exploited by orphanages through orphanage trafficking or other forms of exploitation in care. We do this through systems strengthening, such as our TCSS database in partnership with the Tanzanian Government.
Our Girls4Girls program funded by BFSS educating over 500 girls about their rights and how to recognize and report abuse. BFSS have supported Pamoja Leo to work with 5 schools in Tanga to deliver this program between 2020-2023
